68,244 people evacuated from danger to date

49 people evacuated from danger this week

35 trips into deoccupied and frontline territories this week

In May and June of this year, Russia has launched nearly 4,000 kamikaze drones monthly against Ukrainian cities. These attacks have grown more effective as they have increasingly targeted civilian populations, using deliberate terror tactics. Each assault would have been deemed unprecedented just two years ago — now it barely registers in international headlines. Yet the ongoing carnage profoundly impacts our friends in Ukraine and their loved ones. Recently, for example, an apartment belonging to one of our early partners was destroyed in Dnipro.

Our teams in Dnipro, Kherson, and Kharkiv routinely help at attack sites, providing first aid, food, and clothing to residents of damaged buildings. Despite being sleep-deprived and embittered by these nightly assaults, our volunteers refuse to slow down: they continue their critical missions. We take pride in knowing that Ukraine TrustChain's support enables these heroes to channel their righteous anger into meaningful action. We thank you for your support.

Perilous Attempt to Provide Aid In Beryslav Area

The Virgo team traveled to the Beryslav area to deliver aid to towns near the front line.  At great risk, the volunteers were able to enter and distribute supplies to the residents directly in Tarasa Shevchenka and Rakivka, but getting to the 28 people who remain in Shlyakhove is no longer possible, except in the deep of night. There is a local volunteer who will attempt to make that trip in the coming nights.

Getting to a Funeral in Kherson

Help provided by volunteers in frontline zones sometimes takes unusual forms. Here is an excerpt from the last week’s report by Oleksandr U:

There was another unusual request for assistance this week. A resident had died, and people needed to get to the cemetery for the funeral. One problem is that in Kherson, the enemy is methodically destroying all means of public transportation. Minibuses, taxis, buses, even trolleys get chased by drones and by now there aren’t many left.

A second problem is that people simply don't have money for transportation. In the “red zones” there's almost no work. Elderly people, especially, find it very difficult to survive on their pension.

Finally, to get to the cemetery, you have to go through the Zymivnyk neighborhood, where there are sometimes Russian drones. They're not there very often, but they do fly in occasionally. But we already know how to survey the sky and monitor for this. We were able to get people safely to and from the funeral.
