The International Volunteer Day was celebrated in Ukraine, by the millions of people who’ve been helped by Ukrainian volunteers.

This week marks the start of the giving season in the US. We are incredibly grateful to all of you who continue to fund this important effort and share information about it with the people who trust you.

The volunteer network we support continues to create a tapestry of grassroots effort to alleviate the suffering of Ukrainian civilians. As we approach the Giving Tuesday this year, we ask for your help in amplifying our reach among the people that you trust.

The next few weeks will be critical for winter aid. Ukraine TrustChain is responding by accelerating the rate of deployment of our reserves, so that winter-related aid arrives in October-November rather than in the middle of the winter

In addition to dangerous missions delivering aid to frontline areas, Ukrainian volunteers continue to support communities in their hometowns.

Last week was marked by some of the worst terrorist acts of this war. Saturday along with the rest of the world, we learned about the terrorist attacks in Israel.

Thanks to our volunteer networks, this week 310 people received help in the 5 towns in the occupied territories.

The most noticeable development last week was the sudden intensification of enemy attacks on the right bank of Dnipro in the Kherson region.

Lately, we have been meeting with volunteer leaders in person and remotely to assess the likely scenarios for the coming winter and ways we could help.

A year ago on this day, Ukrainian Armed Forces liberated the village of Slatyne. It sits only 10 miles away from Kharkiv and 7 miles away from the Russian border.

September 1st is the first day of school in Ukraine. While there were many other themes and projects in the life of Ukrainian volunteers last week, September 1st took the center stage despite ongoing battles and rocket attacks on peaceful cities.

Last week I, Daniil, founder of Ukraine TrustChain, arrived in Ukraine. This is the 3rd trip that I have taken to Ukraine since the start of the war. Today is Ukraine’s 32nd Independence Day. The expression freedom isn’t free is fitting to describe the heavy price Ukraine has had to pay for its independence over the last year and a half, and throughout the previous nine years.

In these weeks, several of our volunteers shared that they lost friends serving in the armed forces of Ukraine.

Last week our key evacuation team Dobra Sprava went on a special mission delivering 2 tons of aid to a hospital in Toretsk, the frontline town mere 5 miles away from the raging frontline.

We continue to proudly support efforts to help people living under occupation, whose lives have become completely untenable to evacuate to Ukraine or in some cases to their families temporarily residing in nearby free countries.
